jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono released the first truckload of alternative fuel from Bantargebang TPST waste processing.
Dozens of these trucks will go to cement factories, namely PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (Indocement) and PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SBI).
This is a follow-up to the agreement between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) UPST DLH DKI Jakarta with PT Indocement and SBI.
The agreement regulates the sale of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) or alternative fuel from waste processing to the cement industry as an offtaker for the next five years and can be extended.
Heru Budi expressed his gratitude to the cement industry for being willing to work together as an offtaker of RDF from TPST Bantargebang.
‘On behalf of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, I express my high appreciation and gratitude for the willingness of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk and PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk to become offtakers of waste processing output into RDF,’ he said at the location, Tuesday (27/6).
Heru mentioned that this cooperation is a solution to the waste problem at Bantargebang TPST, which is currently almost reaching its maximum capacity.
‘This is a solution, because every day, approximately 7,500 tonnes per day of waste from the DKI Jakarta area is transported to TPST Bantargebang so that it has almost reached its maximum capacity,’ he said.
