JAKARTA, investortrust.id – Chairman of the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) Lilik Unggul Raharjo mentioned the readiness of the country’s cement producers to supply the construction of the National Capital City (IKN). In fact, national cement producers are ready to secure the supply of 1 million tonnes of cement to IKN.

‘The delivery of cement to IKN is still smooth. There is no problem (cement supply to IKN),’ said Lilik when met after the International Cement Conference Cemtech Asia 2024 press conference at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta, Monday (3/6/2024).

He explained that the specifications of building materials, namely cement from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), partly still use Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) or cement that is not environmentally friendly.

‘For construction, the specifications have not been changed, so some of them still use cement that is not environmentally friendly, but a small part exists. Because the specs have not been changed,’ he explained.

When asked about Bambang Susantono’s resignation as head of the Authority for the Capital City of the Archipelago (OIKN), he said it would not interfere with development in IKN, especially the provision of building raw materials.

‘I believe the existing leadership is still quite committed to the green industry. IKN is a green city and so on. So I believe there will not be many changes,’ said Bambang.

Previously, Pratikno said President Jokowi had issued a presidential decree on the honourable dismissal of Bambang and Dhony. President Jokowi then appointed Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono as Acting Head of the National Capital Authority (OIKN) and Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antoni as Deputy Head of OIKN.

‘The President appointed Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Pak Basuki as Acting Head of the National Capital Authority and also appointed Deputy Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Deputy Head of National Land Agency Raja Juli Antoni as Deputy Head of the National Capital Authority,’ Mr Pratikno said.
